4. A man tries to impress his date by playing ball with her dog while she is getting ready for their first date. 5. A dog is killed after he bites into a tennis ball that has been laced with an explosive. This one might actually be true. On November 25, 2000, a Labrador Retriever in Portland, Oregon, was reportedly killed when he bit into an exploding tennis ball. Why the ball had explosives in it in the first place is unclear. Police explained that explosive tennis balls were not that uncommon in urban areas, Agassi beware!

6. A Las Vegas woman brings her choking Doberman to the vet, only to be told that the dog has human fingers stuck in his throat. Apparently a burglar broke into her home and was attacked by the dog. The intruder was discovered in a closet with three fingers missing. This story was sent to the Las Vegas Sun, but investigations by the paper revealed that there was no evidence that this ever really happened.

7. A group of inebriated ice fishermen pack up a jeep with their gear and a Labrador Retriever and head out to the lake to do some fishing.
